Sun Through the Gum Trees

Walked past the old gum trees today, and the afternoon sun was just hitting the leaves, making them almost glow. It was so simple, just that light. Felt a little warmth spread through me, like a tiny crack opening in the usual grey. Maybe things won't always feel this heavy.
