Quiet Streetlights
Wednesday night. The streetlights outside are a soft blur through the fog rolling in from the coast. My chest feels a little hollow, watching them. Everyone else's lights are off, and the silence just stretches. A dull ache, a wish for a knock on the door that won't come.
