Faded Light

Watched the sunset from the balcony tonight, all those fiery oranges and purples bleeding into the twilight. It was beautiful, truly. But a big sigh just escaped me without even trying. My eyes felt prickly, and I just stood there, the cool air on my face not quite reaching the ache in my chest. It felt like watching something perfect fade away.
