Saturday buzz

The hum of the fridge feels too loud tonight. Just watered the herbs on the balcony, the soil cool and damp on my fingers. Every car driving past, every distant laugh, makes my chest tighten. This buzzing in my ears won't stop. I just want to feel steady.
